Mitt Romney’s potential Minister of Finance?

Edward Conard’s book “Unintended Consequences” is interesting as well as scary reading. Knowing that he is a major contributor to Mitt Romney’s campaign one would assume that he will have some saying or influence or even worse, become the future Minister of Finance in the US.

Conard argues that “To strengthen our leadership in the world, we need financial institutions that can successfully serve, lead, finance and compete in this increasingly integrated and growing market.”

He does not say why? And his analysis and understanding of the world economy is really scaring. As Said many times before, the US is not the world, although some Americans still seems to think so.

I am afraid that books like this and Obama’s mildly said misunderstood economic politics could lead the US into even worse leadership!
