EC is a Corporate Finance Boutique with headquarters in London and with network offices and partners around the world. We are around 40 people including Agents, Introducers and Partners. The company has existed since 1990 and has financed a large number of different companies during its time.

We work with projects within the sectors of Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Agriculture and Meat Production, Hotels and Financial institutions, Hospitals and Infra structure. But, we are industry agnostic and are interested in projects outside these sectors as well.

 Our projects are typically minimum US$ 20 M in both emerging markets as well as developed markets around the world. We are very much involved in the real estate sector. Typically the financing can vary from US$ 20 up to US$ 800 M, and we can structure Trading Platform across the whole capital structure including Equity, Mezzanine, Senior and Junior Debt in various forms also including Private and Public Bond Issues.

 We work with large international banks and investment banks, hedge funds, private equity funds, other types of alternative financing providers, High Net Worth Individuals, Pension Funds and Insurance Companies out of London, New York, Hong Kong and various local markets such as the Scandinavian markets, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo and Johannesburg.

Economic Consultants offers Due Diligence Services all over the world. With close to 50 highly experienced Senior Consultants covering all fields, we can cover all needs for Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies, Banks, VC’s or Hedge Funds.

 GENERAL

We are working with a large number of debt and equity providers (banks and debt funds around 200) out of London for financing real estate.

DEBT

These institutions can provide from US$ 20 to 500m in refinancing, development financing and acquisitions financing.

LTV

Up to 85% LTV consisting of 60% senior and 25% mezzanine financing.

INTEREST

Depending on the situation Interest Rates (refinancing with strong leases/rental contracts to more risky development financing) can vary from 2.5% up to 6% p.a. for senior debt and 8% tom15% p.a. for mezzanine financing.

EQUITY PARTICIPATION

Some of these funds also take equity participation. Seize depending on project.

MARKET

The most common markets for the providers are in Europe, the US and Canada, however there are a number of funds that look at deals in Africa, Asia and South America.

BOND ISSUES

He established M-broking in the early 80′s and running Stavanger Bank in the Eastern part of Norway. Euro Export Invest AS was established in Oslo in 1998 owning four IT and security companies, with KSD as the leading company holding offices throughout Europe and he has been participating in several start-ups in the US, Philippines, Norway and the UK, among others British Armouring Manufacturing Inc, and Birdstep Technology ASA (Public, Norway). Also major investor in “Norges Energi AS“. He has experience from the bio-metric industry, serving as chairman of BioPrint AS, Norway, and adviser to and Director in GenKey Inc, San Francisco. Acting today as Executive Chairman in EC Capital Management Ltd, trading as Economic Consultants. He enjoys golf and started Grenland Golf Club in Skien Norway in 1980 and served as a Board Member in the Norwegian Golf Association for 4 years.

Reverse Repo Trade

Right now, for a 1-year term, an Investor can purchase real estate assets from The Trader, Trading for 50% of the current appraised value, and The Trader will agree to repurchase said assets in 1 year for 100% of the current appraised value; therefore, the Investor is guaranteed a ROI/profit of 50%, or otherwise, if The Trader was to default on the agreement, then the Investor would keep a real estate asset purchased for a 50% discount to the current appraised value.
